Welcome

We are a working group of private citizens working to facilitate the establishment of a full-service medical center to replace St. Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, which stopped receiving ambulances on April 9, 2010.

We have created this website to fill some of the informational needs of this undertaking.

Share Your Experiences

Have you experienced a hardship due to the closing of St. Vincent's?

Join our write-in and describe your experience for us! We are collecting information that will help assess the effects of the loss of the hospital. More Information

Please sign the Coalition for a New Village Hospital Petition

This petition urges our government, state and local representatives and Attorneys General to conduct an investigation into the hasty closing of St. Vincent's Hospital and the subsequent layoff of 3,500 hospital employees. It further urges these officials to stop any sale or rezoning of hospital properties and to commit to preserving the hospital infrastructure already in place to be used for a new Village hospital.
